Meet the Artist

Panagiota is a born and raised New Englander and first-generation Greek American, with roots in Crete and the Peloponnese. Growing up, she was surrounded by Greek tradition, stories, and the influence of Byzantine iconographers in her family. Her work is informed by her upbringing, women's history, and Mediterranean hues as she explores how storytelling and symbolism shape memory and connection. Within her recent body of work, she reinterprets tales that connect grief to birds.

She holds a BFA in Illustration and a Minor in Art History, and is a three-time recipient of the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Artist Grant. When not creating art, she works within exhibition coordination, programming, and arts marketing.
